![]() He boarded for the first time in 1919 on the schooner Swiks, then on the schooner Edna, the barque Carmen, the steamer Sunlight and the barque Killoran. He got his licence of Captain in 1932 at Mariehamn. He served firstly as First Officer on the barkentine Estonia, the four-masts Olivebank, the four-masts barque Herzogin Cecilie and the square rigged Dagny, then he became Master in 1933. In February 1937, here at Port Lincoln, he took command of the Pamir from Uno Mörn and let him the command of the Olivebank. During the war, he sailed in Norwegian waters to escape the requisitions of the Germans (0).
